Our Winery
The vineyards of Uvairenda extend like a cloak on the slope that looks to the east. In a natural balcony between 1700 and 1800 meters above sea level, our bunches of grapes absorb the first rays of the rising sun, which during the sunny and fresh days give color, body and tannins to their wines. In the cold nights of the Samaipatan slopes, the grapes concentrate their juices and maintain the acidity that distinguish the best expressions of grapes of altitude, owned by Bolivia. Our plants are French and criollo varieties carefully selected for the characteristics of the climate of our vineyards.
Reds: Cabernet Sauvignon, Tannat, Syrah, Malbec, Cabernet Franc and Merlot
Whites: Torrontés, Sauvignon Blanc, Pedro Giménez and Chardonnay
Our philosophy focused in the production of high-quality wine, comes together with a deep respect for the land, for which we chose to establish our vineyards on poor soil, that nonetheless have the ideal conditions for the cultivation of vines. In order to protect the soil from erosion, we built a system of terraces, with vines in trellis and with natural grass between the rows. The roots of the vines and the grass protect the slope from erosion, and the foliage from the crops and the natural flowers produce oxygen and retain humidity. To optimize the use of water, we collect rainwater in a pond, and we use a system of drip irrigation with Israeli technology.
